Kaixen HID Headlight Kits
KAIXEN HID / XENON LIGHTING SYSTEMS:
Kaixen High Intensity Discharge (HID) or xenon lighting represents a new dimension in driving – a technological breakthrough uniting a passion for automotive lighting performance and a commitment to safety.  It is the new standard, delivering more light, while requiring less maintenance.  Kaixen is true HID, the innovative illumination that was once the exclusive domain of high-end imports.  Kaixen HID is brilliant.  And it is here now.

THE SAFETY DRIVERS DESERVE:
Every night, drivers depend on their lights for safety.  With a more intense, whiter light than halogen bulbs, Kaixen HID delivers three times the output, improved peripheral vision, and enhanced down-road visibility.

THE LONGEVITY DRIVERS DEMAND:
Kaixen HID isn’t like conventional halogen lighting: there are no filaments to break or degrade.  Yet Kaixen illuminates with three times the intensity of any halogen currently available, while burning far longer and consuming less power.  Kaixen HID bulbs last ten times longer than halogen bulbs, up to 3,000 hours while consuming only 65% of the power used by halogen bulbs.

THE INNOVATION BEHIND THE ILLUMINATION:
Kaixen HID generates light by creating an electrical discharge between two electrodes, within an arc tube.  The arc tube is sealed in a glass jacket to filter ultraviolet emissions.  A state of the art electronics ballast that ignites and sustains like are completes file system.

Confused about all the different brands in the market?
What’s more important… Price? Quality? Color? Warranty?

From least to most important:
  1. Quality  –  find out where the kit is made and if other buyers had a good experience with them.
  2. Warranty  -  find out how long the warranty is, and what kind of warranty it is.  Make sure the seller can and will honor it when the time comes.  Make sure you don’t have to send it abroad as well.
  3. Price  -  find the best deal on equally similar quality.
  4. Color  -  you always have a choice in color.  In most times, a 6000K from one brand is the same color as 6000K from another brand.  The quality of the kits actually determines whether the color will fade or not.
All the kits offered by AutoDoodad.com are A-rated, comparable to OEM quality.  Warranty is taken care of by AutoDoodad.com as well as by the manufacturer.  All kits come with a full one year replacement warranty, and you only ship to us in Texas not back to South Korea.  It’s not the cheapest kit on the market, but it’s also not as expensive as OEMs.  Best of all, we offer a lowest price guarantee on all our HID kits.  If you find any other authorized reseller selling the Kaixen kits for less, just let us know, and we will match their price and offer a 5% discount on top of that.  Buyer beware of some unauthorized resellers selling old kits that have outdated electronics.  In other words, you’re in good hand at AutoDoodad.com.
Kaixen HID Systems have been around since 1994, and is currently sold in over 40 countries worldwide.  Kaixen is known for high quality and solid customer service.  Kaixen is the largest HID manufacturer in South Korea, and it is the only company other than Phillips to develop the diamond shape bulbs.  Our bulbs are rated at 2500 hours which is the same as OEM.

HID Buying Guide:

Even just a few years ago, HID was a thing that most drivers didn’t even know about.  Only the elite few with high-end luxury cars had the comfort of having HID brightness for lighting up the road.  Soon, the aftermarket HID manufacturers’ used ballasts and bulbs directly from OEM suppliers such as Phillips and Hella.  However, the high-cost of these components kept the kits still too expensive for the general public to buy.  But with the increased “white light” cravings, many drivers began fitting their curs with “xenon bulbs” which were notorious for blowing out within months of usage.  It also did not give the brightness that HID lights gave.  HID systems give three times more brightness and uses 40% less energy.  It lasts the lifetime of the car – a true statement until recently.

Many aftermarket manufacturers began developing their own ballasts and/or bulbs in-house to reduce their sales cost.  When this happened, the quality of HID systems began to vary greatly from brand to brand.  The life expectancy of 2500 hours for the kit were no longer a guarantee, but a hopeful number.  Many products from China and Taiwan have the most defective rate.  Although they are improving, its hard to say when they will be able to offer true quality products like the ones from Korea, Japan, or Germany.
Many buyers only care about price and color.  Any HID kit can look nice.  But not all HID kits can be priced low.  This is because of the amount of technology and quality control that goes into the kits.  Buyer beware!  Do not buy a kit solely on the price or the look of the color.  You are buying at your own risk and face a high risk of losing $200 or more just to save a couple more dollars.  Many of these products are sold by “fly by night” resellers who can promise you 1 or even 2 year warranties.  Within a few months, these resellers or shops close down their doors and you can’t find them anywhere when things go wrong.

Lastly, beware of products that conceal their origin.  Many manufacturers have realized that there are some smart buyers out there who avoid “Made in China / Taiwan” products.  They have re-branded their product using American style names and do not reveal their product origin.  Some even lie about their origin.  OEM based products like Phillips and Hella are excellent in quality, but most are priced very high – around $548 USD.  Also, a lot of these OEM kits are actually not OEM.  They are assembled by the resellers after getting the parts form Phillips or Hella.
Please research brands before you buy.  After all, knowledge is power.  Make a smart buy by knowing more.
